The purpose of the counsel is to provide lawyers and their clients with assistance, guidance and direction. The DC LAP provides telephone access to trained professional counselors, as well as volunteers who have experienced issues with stress, depression and addiction, and have successfully faced them.
The DC LAP website includes:
- Schedules for a number of weekly recovery meetings
- A number of links to articles on external sites covering addictions, depression and stress as they relate to the field of law
Contact information, including a private phone number for getting assistance for yourself or others, is available on the DC LAP website.
