Ontario LAP Roundup

Today, our LAP roundup focuses on the Ontario Lawyers’ Assistance Program (OLAP).  OLAP’s vision is “to promote a lifestyle of balance and well being for all members and to prevent problems through early intervention.” OLAP functions through a network of  staff, counsellors, and volunteers to provide a number of completely confidential services to the Ontario bar, including:

The services are developed to help lawyers deal with stress, family and health problems, financial troubles, addiction, grief, and trauma, among many other issues.

Not to be overlooked is the website’s extensive collection of articles written by OLAP staff and associates.

OLAP’s Program Manager is Leota Embleton, MSW, ICADC, and the Volunteer Executive Director is John Starzynski, LL.B. Contact details and directions are available on the program website.
